I am super upset with this purchase. Anyone that knows medical coding, knows, that you don't touch upon every page right away...it's not a book that you "read". I have been doing some intense ICD-10 training over the last couple of months and today i realized there is whole chapter missing out of the tabular section of this book. Chapter 3: Diseases of the Blood and Blood-Forming Organs is NON-EXISTENT! This is a HUGE issue. I am super upset that I just ordered the ICD-10-PCS of this book before realizing this. Now, they are saying that I can't return this book, so as far as I'm concerned, this book is JUNK.
Is there an ICD-10 code for a middle-age male who suffers an acute sprain of the volar ligaments in his right hand as a result of sitting (as opposed to standing or lying supine) and typing a short-to-medium length review of a purchase on Amazon.com on an HP laptop while fully dressed?This book's got it.
The book is an improvement over the ICD-9 book in that it has indention lines to show where specific codes are as opposed to general codes. I do not like the plastic binder. The book wants to slide off of it. I would rather have the metal binder instead. I hope that I won't have to use the book a lot because I don't think it will hold up.
The book have a total of all 21 chapters for ICD -10 codes. It is a great guide if you are using it for a learning medical coding. I have to compare the book to the 3MHIS program if you don't have access to it. I did brought the book as brand new instead of use because I was concern there might be missing pages to it.Great purchase again for medical coding! A disadvantage of the book is manual is pretty big and will take up a lot of space up.
