Good for reading various stories of becoming a family in unconventinal ways. Very short read. If you are looking for advice or reference then this is not the book for you. However, during our struggles to become parents I found it refreshing to read success stories and that is all this book is about.
I wrote "Intended Parents: Miracles Do Happen" because I was looking for someone or something to validate the feelings I was having as I was going through the surrogacy process, and I couldn't find anything. I found that most of the books on the market were either from a process or ethical point of view. I thought that if I was going through the maze of feelings associated with surrogacy then others must be going through them too.I also wrote "Intended Parents: Miracles Do Happen" because I wanted to let people know that there is an alternative to adoption or childlessness.If you are trying to find out what types of feelings you might have going through the process or you want to validate the feelings you are having while you are going through the process, this book is for you.This book is also for you if you want to learn about surrogacy or if you want to explain to your friends and family why you are choosing to go down the path of surrogacy.
I like other readers could not put the book down. I read the entire book in about 3 days. I am remarried and my husband has no children. I am fortunate to have given birth to my daughter (who is now 14) but my husband has no children of his own, so we were trying to have one together. After trying for over a year and several tests, etc., I have a condition in which doctors have advised me not to become pregnant. We have been fortunate to have a surrogate offer to carry the baby for us. I have read this book and was truly touched by Sandra's story. I even emailed her today and told her how much I appreciated her book and received an email back from her the same day. I was totally impressed with the book, her email, and everything. I am letting my surrogate read it now. I hope my journey is a successful one and I hope someday I will be able to tell my children how lucky their father in I was in finding a surrogate and having the information available such as Sandra's book. Thanks again!

We purchaced this book and couldnt put it down. Sandra has opened her heart and let everyone know of her feelings while going through her surrogacy arrangement. My wife was in tears as she read it because we have been trying to have children for years and it looks like we might be trying surrogacy next.This book taught us so much about surrogacy and what to expect when we go through it.
