About the Author
Eric Hill (www.funwithspot.com) left school when he was 15 and took up cartooning while working as a messenger at an art studio. He created Where's Spot? as a bedtime story for his two-year old son. It was published four years later, and the rest is history. Eric Hill passed away in July 2014.

My toddler is at the age where he gets bored easily when you read to him. This book has pages where you can flip over to see a hidden animal, he gets a kick out of it. This is his favorite book. Highly recommend. And, if you're not a native Spanish speaker, this book has very easy vocabularies.
Mi hijo de 10 meses ama este libro. Tiene letras grandes, facil de leer, los dibujos son bonitos, muy bien hechos, llamativos para los bebes, ademas las ventanas que se pueden abrir para buscar a spot hace que los bebes desarrollen curiosidad por lo que esta ahi escondido. Lindo libro, y muy llamativo para los bebes.
El libro es muy lindo y divertido para un bebe, pero la calidad de impression es pesima. Despues de leerlo una vez se ve en muy malas condiciones.The book is really nice and fun for babies, but the paperback quality is awful. The book marks and pages break really easy. Buy the cardboard version if available.
My 4 and almost 2 year old both love it! I add the colors of every item to teach them a bit more (e.g., estará detrás de la puerta azul?, estará en el piano rosa?, etc) and then when they open it, I add the name of the animal that is in there (“No! el león está debajo de la escalera amarillaâ€).
I purchased this for my daughter when she was 1 even though we speak primarily English. She loved this book and thought it was so funny how Spot's mom couldn't find Spot until the very end. All the characters Spot's mom encounters are different animals and my daughter liked that, plus she learned quite a few Spanish words from listening to us read this book.
We are a Hispanic family living in USA. I bought it to read to my grandson before he goes to bed when he spend the night with me to reinforce his Spanish and he loves it.
Both of my daughters' favorite childhood books -- in both English and Spanish. So I sent one to my 15-month old grandson, who LOVES books. He loved this one, but he tore the covers off all of Spot's hiding places! So maybe this is better for a slightly older reader. I'll get him another copy when he's not inclined to tear whatever is tearable in a book!
It's a very soft and thin cover . Consider that if you are buying it for a little kid who might rip the pages
